{"id":1172,"date":"2020-06-16T15:43:50","date_gmt":"2020-06-16T15:43:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pji.uma.ac.id\/?p=1172"},"modified":"2021-02-09T10:39:53","modified_gmt":"2021-02-09T03:39:53","slug":"existing-journal-classifications-and-criteria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pji.uma.ac.id\/index.php\/2020\/06\/16\/existing-journal-classifications-and-criteria\/","title":{"rendered":"Existing Journal Classifications and Criteria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">Based on the applicable regulations in Indonesia related to journal publications, scientific journals can be divided into 4 classes, namely national journals, accredited national journals, international journals, and reputable international journals.\n\n<strong>National Journal<\/strong>\n\nNational journals are periodical scientific publications that meet the following criteria:\n\n    Scientific work is written by fulfilling scientific principles and scientific ethics;\n    Have ISSN;\n    Has an online version (online);\n    Professionally managed: accuracy of the scale, availability of writing instructions, journal identity, etc .;\n    Aims to accommodate \/ communicate the results of scientific research and or scientific concepts in certain scientific disciplines;\n    Aimed at the scientific community \/ researchers who have relevant scientific disciplines;\n    Published by publishers, scientific bodies, professional organizations, or universities with their units;\n    The language used is Indonesian and \/ or English with abstracts in Indonesian;\n    Contains scientific papers from authors from at least 2 different institutions; and\n    Has an editor \/ editorial board consisting of experts in their fields and coming from at least 2 different institutions.\n\n<strong>Accredited National Journal<\/strong>\n\nAccredited national journals are scientific periodicals that meet the criteria as national journals and get accredited status from the Directorate General of Higher Education or the head of LIPI with the validity period of the relevant accreditation results\n<strong>\nInternational Journal<\/strong>\n\nAn international journal is a periodical scientific publication with the following criteria:\n\n    Published scientific works are written in compliance with scientific principles and scientific ethics;\n    Have ISSN;\n    Written using the official languages \u200b\u200bof the United Nations (English, French, Arabic, Russian and Chinese);\n    Has an online version issue;\n    Professionally managed;\n    Editorial boards are experts in their fields and come from at least 4 countries;\n    Scientific articles published in a single issue (issue) are written by authors from various countries, and\n    Contains scientific papers from authors from various countries in each issue.\n    Note: Accredited national scientific journal B from Kemristekdikti published in one of the United Nations languages, indexed in DOAJ with the green tick indicator equalized \/ recognized as an international journal.\n\n<strong>\nReputable International Journal Reputable international <\/strong>journals are scientific periodicals that meet the criteria for international journals in item 3, with additional criteria indexed by reputable international databases (Scopus, Web of Science), and have an impact factor from ISI Web of Science (Thomson Reuters) , or Scimago Journal Rank (SJR), or have an impact factor (SJR) from SCImago Journal and Country Rank as low as Q3 (quartile three). A list of reputable international journals from Indonesia can be seen in Appendix 1.
